So excited that the Founder of Bent But Not Broken was nominated and chosen by peers to receive some pampering from Scottsdale’s Jennifer Andre’ Salon ! This is also the location that hosts the annual Cut-a-Thon that raises over $1,500 to assist MECFS / SEID / CFIDS patients in need. Check out Lindsey’s account of her day below. And if you are local to Phoenix, please connect with Jennifer from Jennifer Andre’ Salon to show your gratitude for her philanthropic business efforts.

Hi, Lindsey here! Yup that’s me under the dryer taking a #NoMakeUPSelfie.

I was super surprised and honored to find out that I had been nominated (and then awarded) a chance to relax…like TRULY relax…and get a little pampered. I don’t often stop to realize the difference all the hardwork has made in other’s lives. And being the amazing graciously and generous person Jennifer is, she wanted to make sure I recognized the good I put into the universe.

Having MECFS / CFIDS myself (we’ll refer to it for now as this while IOM and general public agrees on a suitable acronym), my beauty routine is minimal. If I can get makeup on and be presentable for meetings and to represent BBNB, that is all I’m going for. In that process I think I’ve neglected my hair (that I”m happy to report has started growing like a weed due to improved health). When I arrived at Jennifer Andre’ Salon, Jennifer immediately knew I needed some conditioning treatment. I personally didn’t think it was that bad to start with. But wait until you see the difference!

Using Paul Mitchell’s Awapuhi Wild Ginger repair & smoother¬†she was able to polish me up quite a bit! Who knew!!!

The special treatment I received from Jennifer and her staff really made me feel appreciated for all that I do to help others. So amazing to have a business owner reach out and give back to those that give. Something as simple as time, relaxation & a little pampering can go a long way…
