Our Amazing Team
FounderLiving with CFIDS, aka ME: Myalgic Encephaloyelitis, since 2001, Lindsey has spent majority of her adult life learning to function with a chronic illness. Through compassion, motivation, necessity and desire to help others Lindsey has developed this non-profit that raises funds to DIRECTLY support CFIDS/ME patients in need TODAY. She continues to live everyday to the fullest and loves to hike, camp, practice yoga and be outdoors on her good days. She misses her passion of riding horses and hopes to one day be able to enjoy that again.

Traci is excited about the new opportunity to work with a small non-profit that has such a great need.
Caregiver AdvocateNancy comes to Bent But Not Broken with years of Caregiving experience. After spending almost 18 years with TWA as a Flight Attendant and traveling the world, Nancy worked for a Dr. marketing health related products that he had produced to aid natural healing for patients looking for alternatives to prescription drugs. A move to San Diego also meant a job change and back into the travel industry with Corporate Travel for Executives of Corporations in San Diego. For the past 15 years Nancy has worked as Vice President of Westar Design & Development, Inc. , a Custom Home Builder as the marketing and client contact representative. Throughout her career Nancy has been a caregiver to both her parents as they became older as well as her Aunt and Mother in Law. In the past 13 years she has been a caregiver to her own daughter Lindsey, the Founder of Bent But Not Broken. The desire to help was of course because it is her daughter, but the knowledge gained and personal experiences at hospitals and doctors has given her the passion to help others so that maybe they can save some time in the process of seeking help. She attends BBNB board meetings and assists with volunteers for all events or patient needs.
Vice PresidentEmily got involved with BBNB because of her desire to give back. She and Lindsey met through a networking group and after learning of BBNB's cause Emily decided to be involved. Additionally, she created and organizes BBNB’s annual Booze Cruise. Although they were friends before coming to BBNB, Deanna’s friendship with Lindsey has grown over the years and has brought her to truly love and care for the mission of BBNB.
Patient Care Package Program CoordinatorI am an entrepreneur by heart. I have my own company, My City Apartments, which is a local Marketing Company specializing in the Multi-family Industry. I have always been a believer in giving back, and have served on multiple boards for non-profits over the years. I have held pretty much every position within them as well. My involvement for BBNB comes into play because one of my best friends, Lindsey Beres, "is not only the Founder, but a patient as well." If I'm going to devote my time to a cause, why not put the effort towards an organization that can help someone dear to me.
